Masungi Georeserve

This is the MASUNGI GEORESERVE and the photo was taken by anonymous at masungi. Somebody says that it is Just a quick hour and a half from Quezon City is Baras, Rizal,  to arrive at the Masungi Georeserve. Based on wikepedia search, Masungi comes from the word “masungki”, which means “spiked”. This is fitting as one of the prime attractions of this reserve is a 10 kilometer spine of limestone formations. The 1,500+ hectare reserve is a haven for a variety of flora and fauna and a fun adventure spot for hikers and ecotourists. Every Tuesday to Saturday, at either 7:30 am or 1:00 pm, thrill-seekers can take the 3-4 hour hike around the huge georeserve. Some sights to be seen are: Tatay and Nanay, two limestone peaks, Yungib ni Ruben, a cave to seek shelter from the hot sun, and Sapot, a web where you can lie down and view Laguna de Bay.However, keeping Masungi safe for all the wildlife in it has been an uphill battle. “The georeserve is an area we have been protecting for over fifteen years now. Having to deal with a myriad of illegal loggers, quarries, and others, it has been a challenge, but ultimately a meaningful and fulfilling one. Today, we are excited to share our love for the place with you. We hope that you see something special in it like we did.”

Isdaan Resturant

This photo was taken at Isdaan Restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac is a place  not only known for their seafoods, dining, and atmosphere, but also smashing plates! "Takysapo" is the term used when angry “Taksyapo” is an old Kapampangan word for “Bwisit!” aksyapo is being given a whole new meaning. You can destress yourself shouting Taksyapo at the top of your lungs simultaneously throwing a plate or a mug (for a price of P10.00) at a wall. You can also throw a TV for a higher price. It is a different experience to help you release all of your stress, tension and anger. If you are finding a place to let your anger out and eat this is the best place to see!

University of the Philippines Diliman

Also, representing to you the “University of the Philippines Diliman”  (also referred to as UPD, UP Diliman, or simply UP) is a coeducational, research state university located in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. It was established on February 12, 1949 as the flagship campus and seat of administration of the University of the Philippines System, the national university of the Philippines. A researcher have told us that “Delegated in 1939 as the new campus of then University of the Philippines centered in Manila, the Diliman campus was created from the 493-hectare area of the Diliman district of the then newly established Quezon City to address the increasing population of the university and to acknowledge the demands to expand its roster of academic programs. The outbreak of World War II hampered the development of the area. Under the governance of UP President Bienvenido Gonzalez through a P13 million grant from the US-Philippines War Damage Commission, much of the UP was transferred from its campus in Manila to the bigger Diliman campus and delegated UP Diliman as the University of the Philippines System's seat of administration. The transfer of the Oblation from Manila to Diliman marked the campus's establishment on February 12, 1949.Between the 1970s and 1980s, UP Diliman was the site of much student activism. It was during these times that student demonstrations and opposition against Marcos' administration became heavy and aggressive. This was one of the precursors to Marcos' declaration of martial law in 1972.UP Diliman was formally established as a constituent university on April 23, 1985 at the 976th Meeting of the U.P. Board of Regents. It is the largest constituent university in the University of the Philippines System in terms of number of degree-granting academic units, student population, faculty, and library resources. There are 27 degree-granting units on campus, accounting for 22,031 students of which, 15,299 are undergraduates. UP Diliman had a complement of 1,526 full-time faculty in 2012, of whom 528 have doctoral degrees. Come and see the culture and education of the Philippines in this university.
